WILDCLOWN'S CLIENT is a federal agent with evidence that can bring down the corrupt government he serves. All the detective has to do is hide him from a gang of relentless hit men who are racing from all over to compete for the prize. With two weeks until the grand jury, Wildclown takes him to an isolated cabin on a northern lake but he didn't figure beautiful blondes, circus treasure or a zombie lobster boy into his plans. Join Wildclown for his bloodiest, most terrifying and romantic adventure yet. Taylor tortures this action tale into a horrifying nightmare of prophecy and salvation in the World of Change.

Menagerie A Wildclown Novel Wildclown Mysteries Book 3 edition by G Wells Taylor Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

It's no secret that I love the Wildclown series. I'm sad that it seems to have come to an end, for now. You can read my reviews for the first two Wildclown books in the series, but what I am coming away with is an admiration for the desire for justice, wanting to do a good job even if Wildclown doesn't like the client. I'm reminded of Sam Spade's determination to find who killed his partner, even if he didn't particularly like nor respect his partner. It was a matter of principle. I'm in love with the environment of after "the change" and I'm glad that G. Wells Taylor doesn't make effort to explain how all this happened, how wheat grows to make the flour to make the bread on the dried out sandwiches. I'm glad I am as clueless as the population that inhabits the environment. As for this novel in particular, I loved Wildclown, Elmo, and Mr. Magnet hiding out next to a troop of carnie folks by the lake. Of all the places Wildclown's face paint wouldn't seem too strange it would be with them. The medical anomalies in the jars being sentient, again, mind blowing. For all the weird "after the change" environments, undead walking and being as sentient as the amount of brain matter they had allowed them, under all the face paint and amnesia, there is a struggle for identity and purpose. There are higher level thought processes going on behind the weirdness, look for it and you'll find it. This series is not just a cheap trick thrill ride, it's metaphysical.

I love the mix of gum shoe detective and horror/sci-fi!
I hope he keeps making more Wildclown novels! I just can't get enough!
I DID NOT APPRECIATE THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE VERY END. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER BOOK JUST TO FIND OUT IF WILDCLOWN LIVES OR DIES. ESPECIALLY A NON WILDCLOWN BOOK THAT HARDLY HAS HIM IN IT. THE REST OF MENAGERIE WAS WORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE OVERALL BUT I WILL HOLD ON TO MY $$ AND WAIT FOR SOME AMAZON REVIEW TO TELL WHAT HAPPENED TO WILDCLOWN.
I love the wildclown character. The author has created a unique and imaginative world. He brings a new twist to the noir PI stories. I normally stick to the free stories, but after reading When Graveyards Yawn, I bought all the kindle editions with Wildclown.
Ibreallu want the next story now...Wildclown don't leave us!
I generally like Mr. Taylor's work but this story could have used a good editor and a less ambiguous ending. I have read the Apacolypse Trilogy and can see how it fits in, but that is no excuse for a lazy ending or refusing to properly develop your characters
